Amazon Web Services | Software Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Dates: August 2022 – Current
- Led the design and scaling efforts for a file management service, transforming the project into a comprehensive platform with public APIs. This initiative resulted in high seven-figure revenue with a recurring revenue stream projected to grow to eight figures.
- Spearheaded the implementation of critical monitoring, scaling, and stability tuning for multiple services. Ensured an up-time of 99.99% with a capacity of 50 transactions-per-second (TPS).
- Currently completing advanced coursework in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence through AWS’s Machine Learning University, completing projects such as an automated ML pipeline using XGBoost and SageMaker, and developing an image classifier which utilized convolutional neural networks in PyTorch to categorize locations.
- Developed a continuous deployment pipeline with AWS CDK for a new service, achieving a 61% quicker global deployment while maintaining stability through pre-production stages and a fully automated integration test suite.
- Ventured outside the scope of my role to contribute to Artificial Intelligence security, alignment, and usability research.

- Directed efforts to improve internal DevOps tools and practices, including a system for auto-scaling self-hosted GitHub Actions runners on a dedicated K8s cluster hosted on AWS EKS and managed via Helm.
- Significantly reduced development costs through planning and constructing new CI/CD infrastructure, such as a new Jenkins build system which performed 513% faster than previous systems.
- Developed custom OS and network infrastructure using K8s to create sandboxed testing environments, enhancing software isolation and security.
- Modernized and advanced security practices for my division, which included developing a custom SBOM generator program as well as deploying a webhook-verification app using Nginx, Go, and Lua to validate services and secure endpoints for our development pipeline.
